Jolly Totz Playgroup

Spire Homes and their Community Grants Fund have enabled a
much needed children’s playgroup to be set up in Easton the Hill.
Rebecca Knight, who helped set up the
playgroup called Jolly Totz, applied for the grant because there
was nothing in the village for young children and their parents to
attend.
She was awarded £500 from the Community Grants
Fund, which she used to buy materials to help set the group up. The
money was used to buy a shed, baby toys like a play gym, bumbo
chair, musical toys, soft toys and storage containers.
Jolly Totz playgroup has proven very popular. It allows mums
from the area to meet new people as well as allowing their children
to play with other children their own age.
Rebecca says, “There will be one session
per week, and this number will increase if the group is popular.
Children from birth to preschool are able to come and enjoy the
group and its activities. There will be a special area for babies
and one for toddlers so it is safe and equipment and toys are
suitable to the different age ranges”
