Blooming Lovely!
Spire Homes recently held their annual ‘Gardens in Bloom’
competition, sponsored by Vale Contracts Limited. Tenants were
asked to send in their photograph entries of their gardens for
three different categories, and the 1st, 2nd
and 3rd winners received National Garden gift vouchers
worth £30, £25 and £15.
The categories were: Best Individual/Wildlife
Friendly Garden Display; Best Hanging Tub, Basket or Balcony
Display; and Best Sheltered Scheme Display.
The response was great with over 30 entries
received for this year’s competition. Vale kindly donated £90
towards the prizes. 6 of the winners are from the Rutland area, and
Kathleen McKie from Uppingham won the Best Hanging Basket
category.
Paul Dolman, Business Development Manager from Vale
Contracts Limited said, “It is great to get involved by
sponsoring Spire Homes’ Gardens in the Bloom competition, and show
support for the work that they do with their tenants. The entries
received this year were great, and it is great to see people taking
pride in their gardens. Well done to all who got
involved.”
Charlotte Holley, Resident Involvement Officer
added, “The competition is a great opportunity for all our
residents to show off their gardening skills and gives us the
chance to say thank you for making your homes look so blooming
lovely!”
