Lincoln City fan sees his heroes crowned champions thanks to support from Longhurst Group staff

An avid Lincoln City supporting customer of Longhurst Group recently experienced a day he will never forget.

David Wragg, 48, has Cerebral Palsy and has been a resident at our Ashley Court care home in Lincoln since 2015.

Staff at the centre, which is run by L&H Homes - part of Longhurst Group - go the extra mile to ensure that David can get to as many games as possible by accompanying him to Sincil Bank to watch the Imps.

On Easter Monday, David attended to watch his team be crowned champions of League Two after a 0-0 draw with Tranmere Rovers.

On the day, he met many of the players, including Lee Frecklington, Cian Bolger and Harry Anderson, as well as manager Danny Cowley and his brother and assistant Nicky.

“He met most of the team and staff including Danny and Nicky Cowley.

“This has been shared on Twitter and it has had an amazing response.”

The Imps have now won a trophy in each of the last three seasons and will play in League One next season.

Lincoln City Assistant Manager Nicky Cowley said: “It was a pleasure (to meet David).
